軸伸貫流式水輪機屬貫流式水輪機的一種，適用于低水頭、大流量的電站，一般使用水頭為2-20米。

該機型水力性能優良，與軸流式機組相比，有較大的過流量、較高的水力效率。由于發電機置于流道之外，解決了轉輪直徑小的燈泡貫流式機組將發電機置于燈泡內存在的許多困難，機組結構湊、安裝維護方便。

Shaft extension type tubular turbine is one of tubular turbines, and is widely used in hydropower station with low head and large discharge. This kind of tubular turbine generally uses the head of 2-20 meters.

It has excellent hydraulic performance, and has larger water flow and higher hydraulic efficiency comparing with Kaplan Turbine. It also solves many problems occurring in Bulb Turbine because the generator is placed inside the bulb therefore has advantages of compact structure and convenient installation and maintenance.
